PermaRoof - PermaTechUk
A wet laid Glass Fibre Laminate is made from cold applied polyester resin, reinforced with chopped strand matting and finished with a pigmented top coat. These products are laid onto timber decking to give an extremely long lasting roof covering
Glassfibre (aka GRP) can be formed around intricate shapes and obstacles e.g. soil/vent pipes, chimneys etc. A GRP Laminate has no joints to fail.
High strength to weight ratio and high flexural strength maek GRP an attractive material for flat roofs, additional reinforcement can be added in specific locations to build in extra strength where laod and stress points require it. GRP can offer a high resistance to environmental extremes.
GRP Structures have an exceedingly long life span, coupled with low maintenance requriements; the longevity of GRP is a benefit in critical applications, in a half century of composite development, well designed GRP structures have yet to wear out. In addtion, moisture protection eliminates the potential for standing water or condensation building, preventing the growth of microorganisms which also prolongs the life of the building.
GRP components requirevery little or no maintenance as they do not rust, rot or fall into pieces.
